Transform your life with therapy

At Chloe’s Counselling & Psychotherapy, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly and be met with compassion — not judgment. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with low self-esteem, working through past trauma, or facing challenges in your relationship, I’m here to help.

I work with individuals and couples, tailoring each session to suit your unique needs, pace, and goals. Therapy is a place where real change can happen — and you don’t have to face things alone.

About Chloe's Counselling and Psychotherapy

My Approach

At Chloe’s Counselling and Psychotherapy, I provide compassionate, professional therapy tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re seeking individual support or couples psychotherapy, my goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

My approach is person-centred — meaning I believe that genuine warmth, empathy, and human connection matter just as much (if not more) as qualifications.

I live in a small town in Rossendale with my partner and dogs, who inspire my work and bring balance to my life. I offer therapy both in my comfortable, private space at home and online via secure Microsoft Teams sessions, providing flexibility and privacy.

If you’re ready to explore your feelings, work through difficulties, or strengthen your relationships, I’m here to walk alongside you with kindness and respect.

My Experience

I am a registered member of the BACP, and I work with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship difficulties.

Over the years, I have worked in prisons, refuges, recovery programs, and private practice.

I am also on the register of therapists for the Police Firearms Officer Association (PFOA).

Who is chloe?

Chloe Press BA(Hons), MSc, MBACP
Person-Centred Psychotherapist

Hello, I’m Chloe – a qualified person-centred psychotherapist with a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Master’s degree in Psychology. I’m a registered member of the BACP with over five years’ experience supporting individuals and couples through a wide range of challenges, including addiction, trauma, depression, and anxiety.

My path into therapy began with my own experience of struggling with depression and self-esteem issues. I know how vulnerable it can feel to reach out for support — and how transformative it can be to feel truly heard. That personal journey shaped the therapist I am today: compassionate, down-to-earth, and deeply committed to offering a safe, respectful space where you can be yourself.

While my academic training informs my work, I believe it's the human connection — warmth, honesty, and presence — that makes therapy meaningful. I offer a calm, non-judgmental environment where you can explore whatever you’re facing, at your own pace.

I live with my partner in a small town in Rossendale, where we enjoy a quieter pace of life surrounded by nature. Outside of therapy, I find real joy and grounding in the everyday — especially through spending time with my dogs, who are a big part of my world and bring so much warmth and balance to my life. Whether we’re out walking in the hills or curled up at home, they remind me daily of the value of presence and connection.

Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to — someone who brings a calm, steady energy to the room and meets them with genuine care.

Whether you're navigating a difficult chapter, feeling stuck, or simply want space to reflect and grow, I'm here to walk alongside you.

confidentiality and data protection

Confidentiality is a vital part of the therapeutic relationship and something I hold with the utmost care. What you share with me in our sessions is treated with respect, compassion, and sensitivity.

Here’s how I handle your information and maintain confidentiality:

Confidentiality: Everything you bring to therapy is confidential. The only exceptions are:

If I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm.

If I am required by law to disclose information (for example, in cases of terrorism, drug trafficking, or a court order).

During professional supervision (as part of ethical practice), where your identity remains protected.

Record Keeping: I keep a brief, anonymised session log of our sessions, which are stored securely and separately from your personal details. the only time I wirte notes is when there is a safeguarding concern. These are retained for a limited period, in line with professional guidelines, and then securely destroyed.

Communication: I treat all communication between us as private. Emails, texts, or messages are kept to a minimum and are primarily used for scheduling or practical matters.

Online Sessions

I offer both in-person and online therapy. If you choose online sessions, we’ll use a secure, encrypted video platform to protect your privacy. You’ll need a quiet, private space where you feel safe and won’t be interrupted. If you're ever unsure about using technology or need support setting things up, I’ll be happy to help.

Cancellations & Missed Sessions

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full, except in cases of emergency or exceptional circumstances. I’ll always try to be fair and understanding if something unexpected comes up.

Consent & Working Together

Before we begin therapy, we’ll go over a short agreement that outlines how we’ll work together, including confidentiality, session structure, and practical matters. This is to ensure clarity and mutual understanding, and you’re always welcome to ask questions or revisit anything at any time.
